Definitely challenging to play at the A-game when I’m playing the D-game for so long.
Today, the team discovered that I hasn’t been honest about the salary that I were paying for a developer.
Context: We are paying this guy $15/hr. But because back then I casually mentioned about it being $12/hr and the team been sharing about that.
What started as a small miscommunications became a huge issue because I wasn’t firm and share with the team about the actual $/hr.
it’s not acceptable because it breached integrity/honesty.
My colleague was saying if could do this for this matter, I can also do it for another thing.
Key lesson learnt:
Made a mistake? Own up and confessed it.
There’s no point hiding. Because one lie has to cover for another lie. (paper can’t hold fire)
